Carbon Poker evolved out of the Poker.com camp because of the inability of the latter to accept poker plays from the US. Hence, Carbon Poker is part of the Merge Gaming Network who allow US players and whilst this online poker room has only been around since late 2007 the team behind it have plenty of experience. Things should only get better for this poker room and network as the traffic increases.

Simply put, the software behind Carbon Poker is amazing. If you are not impressed by the overall usability of the poker room software then I don't know what else they could do for you. No Download Poker

Absolute Poker has been around since 2003 and has primarily focused on one thing, poker. They have branched out into bit of Blackjack, however, more about that later. Let's concentrate on the poker side of things first. Any online poker room that caters to Mac users gets an immediate big thumbs up. As a convert from a PC to a Mac I have to appreciate the no download poker room option. Not enough rooms cater to this market so finding a decent poker room that does is great.

There are now a number of online poker rooms that cater to US players. Some poker rooms that previously left the US market have returned and others have continued accepting US poker players. Some software providers/poker networks don't allow their licensees to accept players from certain countries so there is not much you can do about this.

Things to be aware of with online poker rooms that accept US players is that the deposit and withdrawal methods might not be as good as players from other parts of the world. For example, most poker rooms offer NETeller as a deposit option, however, people from the US can't use this method.
